Traveling to the Park

I paraded the shell of my chimney swift tower to the sculpture park today. An old bunk bed frame and some bike parts make a super handy cart. The cart even doubles as a ladder.
Gypsy wagon, ladder cart.

With tomorrow comes the raising.

2/3rds of Nesting Chamber Standing

More concrete to pour tomorrow. I'm totally exhausted.

Chimney Swift tower on the way

Today, I added legs to the nesting / roosting chamber and rolled it a few miles to the sculpture park. I hope the rain holds off so I can pour the footing tomorrow. Earlier this week, I dug a four foot deep, 24 inch diameter hole for the footing. Heavy clay and stone, heavy work, good fun.

Almost ready to finish the two halves of the outer shell.

Internal nesting/roosting chamber.

I plan to begin installation at the Stevens Point Sculpture Park within the next 10 days!
